Street performance ☆路上ライブ☆

EGGが完全リニューアルでオープンして早くも二週目に突入！EGGの良さを関内に広げる為水曜日にオーナーのふ～ちゃんとシンガーのtetsu、さっちーと一緒に馬車道で路上でライブしながら宣伝してきました！

キーボード担当はふ～ちゃんとtetsu。彼らは弾き語りもしながら私たち、まみとさっちーの歌の伴奏も弾いてくれました。空いている人はその間チラシまき～♪

普通にチラシをまくより音楽をバックにまいた方が効果的っ☆　こっちのやり方の方が興味を持ってくれる人たちが多いと思う。何やってるの？と近づいてくる人が居るからです！勿論、素通りする人も居るけれど；；；

歌ってる時、面白い腰つきでうちらに近づいて来た面白い酔っ払いのお兄さんにはウケたｗｗ　ノリが良くてGOOD☆ ちらし渡したけど果たして覚えてくれているのでしょうか。。。ちょっと危うい。

I’ve been working at bar in Yokohama for about 3 months now. The venue was a bit small when I first started but we just moved to a bigger venue 3 times the size right across the street~! Love it!!

It’s quite funny…. the owner first opened the business back in December to avoid his acquaintance from calling him every night to drink (when I say drink, I mean drink ’til 5am) so then he’ll have an excuse not to go (yea, Japanese people are crazy…). Since this bar was just a mere tool for his subterfuge, it was mostly closed. But the rent was $1,500 every month! Talk about being wasteful.

After being prodigal for 3 months, he finally decided to turn this bar into something fun and new!!  And that’s where I come in =D If  I may explain (before I go any further), the owner has been in the music industry doing music himself and also producing many singers and celebs in Japan. He used to work at Motown records in LA as a producer for 3 years too. So he has connections XD

After working for him for 2 months, we moved into a bigger locale like I mentioned earlier. It took 1 month for the new venue to  open (yea, so I didn’t have a job for a month…. but its okay, I got to work on music). We had a successful 3 day grand opening party last week and now we’ve made it to week 2.

Since we did not publicize, the bar is still nameless, although we are slowly getting more and more customers. We even go out on the streets to hand out fliers to people~. We actually got people to come!! And yesterday, we went out with a keyboard and performed out on the streets while handing out fliers. Some people just ignore you, but some are friendly and start a conversation. Apparently, it’s illegal to give out fliers and sing on the streets but people do it anyway…. so the owner was like, “the popo might come but it’s okay, we can argue that others are doing it too”  lol… hella funny, this is great.

I can’t forget to mention that I love my co-workers <3 It’s amazing how some of of us only know eachother for few days but have great teamwork. It’s the chemistry. I feel chemistry with eveyone (well… except for maybe 1 girl). It’s the collective consiousness that let’s this betide.

This is the greatest work place I’ve ever had. I’m gonna make this bar legendary! Packed with people everyday, long lines, waiting to get in kind of thing. That’s my goal for the near future. I really want to make this bar into a place where everyone can enjoy.

Gonna go paint the town~!! Pretty soon, the town will be all painted Mami color~ <3
